Bozano memorial

Giovanni Scanzi sculpted this memorial to Bozano in 1873.  It was covered by 150 years of dirt and pollution. Those deposits on the surface draw out the calcium from the marble, forming a black crust, which if not carefully removed would start to break down the fine details of the carving. Our restoration was carried out during the winter of 2022-2023.
